 attending college at Arizona State University\, Mr. Gross sta
 rted his career as a bespoke travel agent. He became quickly
  regarded as one of the best in the business\, with a particu
 lar interest in Alaska. Over the past 40 years\, his lifestyl
 e has centered around constant trips around the globe\, accu
 mulating millions of miles flown and visiting Alaska hundred
 s of times. Among his favorite locations to visit were St. L
 awrence Island and Nome\, from which he curated a fine collec
 tion of ivory carvings\, basketry\, scrimshaw\, and exceptional
  museum-quality artifacts\, nearly all of which were purchase
 d directly from local community members. This auction\, held 
 over the span of two days due to the quantity of material wi
 thin\, features his entire lifelong collection and is one you

  walrus skull\, several complete scrimshaw walrus mounts\, hun
 dreds of ivory carvings\, scrimshaw works\, fine dolls\, grass
